Crushed by Pain

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Psalm 34:18 NLT

The heart can be broken, not literally but figuratively. The heart can experience such sorrow and grief, that at times life itself can become a burden. But in those moments, the Bible tells us that the Lord is close. That is a source of strength when life gets difficult.

This season of Corona virus has been a season of pain and sorrow. So far over 893 thousand people have died worldwide. These people had family and friends who cared for them; people who loved them and will miss them. Also, there are those who died of natural causes during the pandemic. All in all we said goodbye too many loved ones and our hearts broke.

Hebrews 4:15 says,” This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.” So in our moments of sorrow and grief, He is there. His presence brings comfort so we can sing with the songwriter, “Your presence us heaven to me.” So when your heart is broken and your spirit is crushed, you are not alone. Our High Priest, is close to comfort and give strength in our time of need.

When a friend or loved one would easily walk away from you, Father God is faithful.
He promised will NEVER leave or forsake us.
