The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace. Psalms 29:11 NLT
This verse has two words that most people want to see in their lives: strength and peace. When you think of strength, what comes to your mind? When the average person thinks of strength they think about physical power. Physical power is great, but if that is all the strength you have, you definitely have a problem. So many times people find themselves in situations that test their ability to cope. They are overwhelmed and have no idea what the next step is. But the Word says that God gives his people strength.
God is not talking about strong muscles here. Instead, it’s strength that comes from the inside. Strength that can stand when there is chaos and confusion all around you. Can physical power soothe the pain of loss? There is a strength that comes from God that gives you power when life is at its worst. Isaiah 40:31 tells us , “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Yes, He gives strength to stand in the day of trouble.
Then the Lord follows up with peace. Not peace that exists because trouble has been removed but peace deep on the inside when the trouble is raging. The people in Isaiah knew this as they sang, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” Isaiah 26:3. They knew that real peace comes from God. You don’t have to fear the difficulties of life because God gives his people strength and blesses them with peace.
Thought for Today: Friend, when life is tough, the Lord gives strength and peace.
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
His strength reaches to me./p>
