God is in Control

Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will strike Pharaoh and the land of Egypt with one more blow. After that, Pharaoh will let you leave this country. In fact, he will be so eager to get rid of you that he will force you all to leave. Exodus 11:1 NLT

In life, you will always meet someone who loves to control others. You encounter these people in the workplace and unfortunately, even in the family. It makes for a miserable existence. Some people believe that they know what is best for everyone and they try to direct the lives of those around them.

Pharaoh felt that he was in complete control of the Hebrew population in Egypt; he controlled them and he was not relinquishing that control to anyone, not even God! But, that was about to change; you are in control until God decides that it’s time for a change. That time came for Pharaoh. In the world of boxing it’s called a knock-out punch. God told Moses, when that blow is delivered that Pharaoh would want you to leave faster than you can get out of Egypt.

There are many individuals who believe that they have absolute power. But absolute power belongs to God. He knows the beginning from the ending. Acts 3:18 says, But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.” God was not surprised about Jesus’ experience on this earth. He knew that to redeem man from sin that He would suffer but God’s love for mankind was greater that the anguish and the pain.

Pharaoh would soon learn that God is the boss. Things happen in His way and on His time. In God’s timing, He sets events in order. When He begins to work, man is powerless. That is why God told Moses, Pharaoh would beg you to leave. When you find yourself in a similar situation, remember who has total control. Don’t be alarmed when things seem to be going from bad to worst. God is setting you up big time.  Someone said that a setback is a setup for a comeback.

Thought for Today: Friend, always remember that God is in control.

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
