O Lord, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now you have accomplished them. Isaiah 25:1 NLT
There are some people who are gracious. They just seem to know what you need and when you need it; that is true for children and adults. These individuals know how to make you feel comfortable. If you are discouraged, they will comfort you with words and actions. It’s always a pleasure to be in their company.
When you think about God, you can’t help but reflect on His goodness. Many people believe that it’s difficult to say that God is good because they don’t have the evidence to prove, that He had done something spectacular. But, when you consider the season in which we live, and the uncertainty in the atmosphere around us, and you are alive today to have this conversation; that is the most wonderful thing that can happen to you. It is definitely a good reason to give God praise.
When you think about the people in your home and you can talk and laugh with them; that’s something wonderful! It means that although many families are in distress, your family is safe and happy. Happy doesn’t mean the absence of challenges but it means that in spite of the obstacles in your path, you have made it through. You might be wondering why some families are happy while they are facing their challenges. Well they are alive together, and that is more important than the challenges they face.
So take a look at yourself and your life. Do you think that God is good to you? Every day that you can wake up in your own home and choose how to spend your day; you are blessed. If you can decide what you are going to eat; you are blessed. You have the strength and ability to have a job; you are blessed. Blessed is less about material things and more about the things that add value to your life. So look at your life differently. So, I’m going to pose this question to you, ‘Has God been good to you?’
Thought for Today: Friend, praise God for all He had done.
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
