Showing Mercy
In Matthew 18:21-35 we heard about a man who received mercy but was reluctant to show mercy. Mercy is that benevolence, mildness, or tenderness of heart which disposes a person to overlook injuries, or to treat an offender better than he deserves.
Compassion – Lamentations 3:22-23
The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.
Mercy Given: Mercy Received – Matthew 5:7 AMP
“Blessed [content, sheltered by God’s promises] are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.
Don’t Judge – Luke 6:37 NLT
Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
Forgive – Colossians 3:13 NLT
Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
Mercy Promised – Hebrews 4:16 AMP
Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]
Have a blessed day and walk in faith in victory.
Amen. Thank you for the good walk of faith. His mercy fit his glory.
