As people of faith, we are on a quest to do God’s will. Some believe that God’s will is mysterious and available only to a select few. God’s will in in His word.
What do we know about God’s will?
God’s Law – Psalm 40:8 AMP
“I delight to do Your will, O my God;
Your law is within my heart.”
Requires submission – Matthew 6:10 NKJV
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Jesus Christ, our example – Matthew 26:42 CEV
Again Jesus went to pray and said, “My Father, if there is no other way, and I must suffer, I will still do what you want.”
Lifestyle – 1 John 2:17 AMP
The world is passing away, and with it its lusts [the shameful pursuits and ungodly longings]; but the one who does the will of God and carries out His purposes lives forever.
Heart thing – Ephesians 6:6
not in the way of eye-service [working only when someone is watching you and only] to please men, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart;
