What does the Bible say about the fear of the Lord? As children of God, we need to fear God and walk in obedience to Him. How do we do that? We walk in obedience to the word of God.
The fear of the Lord
Proverbs 8:13 AMP
“The [reverent] fear and worshipful awe of the Lord includes the hatred of evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way,
And the perverted mouth, I hate.
Deuteronomy 10:12 NASB
“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Job 28:28 NASB
And to mankind He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom;
And to turn away from evil is understanding.’”
Psalm 33:8 AMP
Let all the earth fear and worship the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 AMP
When all has been heard, the end of the matter is: fear God [worship Him with awe-filled reverence, knowing that He is almighty God] and keep His commandments, for this applies to every person.
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
