There is no greater comfort in the time of difficulty than knowing you are not alone. In our lives, when difficulties arise, most of those around us head for the exit door. What do you do when you are in trouble, and you have been abandoned by those you mistakenly believed were your friends?
It’s never easy facing the hardships in life alone. In Matthew 28:20 NLT Jesus said, “Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Jesus wanted His followers to know that when life gets tough, He will not abandon them. Jesus promised His presence.
So, when you face difficult times in your life, as a disciple, you are not alone; He is with you. And Jesus takes it one step further, He sends people in your life to help you. It’s not if, but when, you go through challenging times; be encouraged! You have all the power of heaven at your disposal so that you can stand in your storm.
Thought for Today: Friend, in every season of life, Jesus is with you.
