Some time ago, I spoke to someone who asked, “Where are the godly women?” I was surprised by that question, but I must admit, I wonder about that sometimes myself. There was a time that they were easy to identify but as times change, what we considered godly changed also. God never changes so His criteria remains the same. What are some qualities of godly women?

Lying lips are extremely disgusting to the Lord,
But those who deal faithfully are His delight.

Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.

Charm and grace are deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised.
