Lifestyle of Repentance

Repentance is not something we do once in a lifetime, but it is a daily requirement if we want to remain in good fellowship with God. We sin against God in our thoughts, with our words and by our actions. If we don’t believe that repentance is necessary, John 1:8 NLT provides the answer: If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.

2 Peter 3:9 NLT

The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

Proverbs 28:13 AMP

He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and turns away from his sins will find compassion and mercy.

Romans 2:4 AMP

Or do you have no regard for the wealth of His kindness and tolerance and patience [in withholding His wrath]? Are you [actually] unaware or ignorant [of the fact] that God’s kindness leads you to repentance [that is, to change your inner self, your old way of thinking—seek His purpose for your life]?

Luke 17:3-4 NLT

So watch yourselves!

“If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.”

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
