Sometimes children play games when they must choose teams and there will be that child that nobody wants to choose. That child is left feeling so dejected because it’s not a comforting thing to know that you are not wanted. Unfortunately, at times, we have experiences that generate those emotions in us.
Is there any hope when we feel dejected? John 15:16 NLT has some comforting words. It says, “You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.” Oh, my goodness, what a comfort! The word choose means to select, to decide between two or more possibilities. God choose you and He choose me!
Listen to what Isaiah 41:10 says: Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. God gave us this promise to show us how invested He is with us. He wants his children to walk in faith and not fear. It doesn’t matter what we face or what comes our way, He is there. He will hold you up. When your circumstances cause your knees to give way, He will hold you with his victorious right hand. What more can you ask? In every situation you face, trust God.
Thought for Today: Friend, God chose you.
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
