Look Ahead: Let Go of the Past

There are so many design styles available today. You can go from the Minimalist Design Style, using only the bear essentials to decorate your space or the Maximalist Design Style using as much as you can manage. Most of us are somewhere in between.

I am one of those people who like to do my thing my way. I like my furniture well-polished with a shine. As I was polishing some time ago. I was looking at a piece I have now and thought about the one it replaced. I had to admit that this new piece surpassed my expectations, and I was so reluctant to get rid of the old. Why? We  become  accustomed with what  we have and who we are. There is a measure of safety in the comfortable but there are blessings when we let go and trust God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT tells us, Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. When we cling to the past, we block the wonderful opportunities that God has prepared for us. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. (Proverbs 3:5-6) With a promise like that, why would you want to hold on to the old when there is so much more in God.

Thought for Today: Friend, it’s time to let go. Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory
