In John 3, Nicodemus came to see Jesus. Since he was a Pharisee, he thought it best to come by night. He had questions and Jesus had answers. He left understanding that he must be born again.
John 3:3 NLT

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
