Serving God by Serving Others

It is sometimes difficult to understand how to express and communicate to love of Jesus Christ in the world. We hear many people talk about Jesus but when we look at their life there seems to be a conflict between their words and actions. But how can we show that we represent Jesus on the earth?

In Matthew 25, Jesus told the people about the criteria He will use to judge our actions and interactions with others. He said that He will separation us into two distinct groups: and He will put the sheep on His right [the place of honor], and the goats on His left [the place of rejection].(Matthew 25:33 AMP) Why the separation? He told those who were rewarded – For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’  (Matthew 25:35-36 NLT)

As a community of faith, God expects that we should care for those we don’t know. There are so many needy people in the world around us. Not everyone needs money or food. There are those who need someone to listen, those who need someone to lend a helping hand. Sometimes, a little kindness goes a long way. When we take the time to show God’s love in our hearts through our actions, our Lord will say we did it unto Him.

Thought for Today: Friend, God rewards service to others.

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
