Everyone, at some point in life, will need help. That is true for both the rich and the poor. The wealthy individual gets better service from the same individual who would humiliate those who have limited resources. How we treat others tells a lot about us. The Bible provides us with guidelines for service.
Philippians 2:3 NLT
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.
Colossians 3:23-24 CEV
Do your work willingly, as though you were serving the Lord himself, and not just your earthly master. In fact, the Lord Christ is the one you are really serving, and you know he will reward you.
Proverbs 3:27 NLT
Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them.
Galatians 6:9 NLT
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
Hebrews 6:10 NLT
For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.
