We live in a world today where everyone is in need of something. The poor say that they need money so that they can be happy. The wealthy say that they need peace of mind, so they might be happy. And those in between have a list of things they need to be happy. The help that is available to gain what they are searching for does not bring happiness.
Many times, we also find ourselves in situations that make us unhappy, but we don’t have to remain in that state because we know that when life is overwhelming, we have help. David said, “I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!” (Psalms 121:1-2 NLT). David was a man who was blessed by God, but he had many enemies. Saul tried to kill him; his son tried to take his throne. Joab was his out of control military leader. Yet, through his experiences, David recognized that his help came from God
Help is not made by man’s hand; our help also comes from God. Are there enemies threatening your peace and causing havoc in your life? God is able to speak peace to every storm in our lives and bring change in our circumstances. Then, like David, we can testify that our help comes from God.
