God’s Presence Brings Change

As unbelievable as it seems, we are moments away from the end of the year. This is a week of change; it’s goodbye to the old and hello to the new. Sometimes, that brings joy when a painful night season comes to an end, and we embrace the new day.

But as we begin our year-end reflection, we must admit that  God has been faithful throughout the year.  Isaiah 53:2 NLT says, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Yes, it seems that in every year, there will be a season when we will experience at least one of these issues, but God promised us His presence.

His presence makes a difference in our lives. When those young men were brought before King Nebuccanezer because they would not bow before his image, they told him that they were  not going to bow because their God would deliver them. Then they added, “But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”  (Daniel 3:18). Nebuccanezer threw them into the fire, but God showed up as the fourth man in the fire. He doesn’t change, and in our fiery furnace experience, He will be our fourth man in the fire. We give thanks for His presence in our lives.

  1. Yes God is always with us. He is faithful to his word. He has promised never to leave or forsake us. I can testify to this every year especially in 2024 to God be the glory.
