Today is the first Friday in 2025! It’s still so new, and we wonder what to expect in the year ahead. If you ask the neighbor across the street, the new year will bring doom and gloom. If you ask your coworker, the new year is full of promise. Who do you believe?
Well, that in itself is a problem. You see, you are looking for answers in all the wrong places. Only God knows what we would confront in 2025. Proverbs 3:5 GNT says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know.” When you consult those around you, all they can tell you is they think they know. Is that reliable information? Definitely not! Verse 6 tells us,
“Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.”
That is the key to living successfully in this world. Sometimes, the right path is not so easy to identify because it does not fit our definition of what right looks like. However, if we depend on God, trust in Him, and walk in obedience to His direction, we will experience the favorable outcome we desire. “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.” (Jeremiah 29:11). The future we hope for is possible as we put your trust in God.
