We live in a time when many men believe that serving God is for women and weak men. As a result, our churches are overflowing with women, and many times, the men in church can be disengaged. But, if a man wants to be at his best, he needs to commit his life to Jesus Christ.
Now, I can almost hear the men saying, “How do you know that? You are a woman!” As a student of the Bible, I’ve seen how God can transform a live surrendered to Him. The Apostle Paul was a man transformed! When we were introduced to him, he was terrorizing the early church; Saul of Tarsus had a mission; he was going to rid the world of the heretics that were preaching Jesus. He was sincere but sincerely wrong. One day, as he was on his mission of destruction, he had an encounter with Jesus Christ. When Jesus sent Ananias to Saul, Ananias was afraid. “But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel.” (Acts 9:15 NLT). Saul changed his name to Paul, and he accomplished God, purpose for his life.
Is he the only man whose life was transformed? Moses was a Hebrew boy who grew up in Pharaoh’s house. He fled the palace when he killed an Egyptian for abusing a Hebrew slave. However, God found him and gave him the mission to lead His people out of Egypt. He was reluctant and gave every excuse to persuade God to choose someone else. In the end, he surrendered and told Pharaoh that God said, “Let my people go!” (Exodus 5:1). God is still actively seeking men to serve in His kingdom. Are you willing to say yes to Him?
Thought for Today: Men, God has a wonderful plan for your life; say yes to Him!
