In these uncertain times, people are not sure how to proceed. They are looking for answers; they are looking for directions. The benchmarks of the past seem to have lost their value, and there is a crisis when we seek truth.
What do we do? Do we throw our hands up in despair and give up? No! The truth of God’s word remains! The dictionary defines truth as conformity to fact or reality. But when we talk about truth in relation to God, it’s something different. According to Bible Hub, “In the biblical context, truth is a fundamental attribute of God and a central theme throughout Scripture. It is often associated with God’s character, His Word, and His revelation to humanity.” The truth of God and His word never changes. “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 NLT).
Why is truth important? Jesus said, “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32). In a world filled with lies and deceit, we need to know where to find truth. There are those who disregard facts and claim that the distortion of reality is truth. If you are caught in limbo, where you are struggling to determine truth, remember, truth is a fundamental attribute of God. If you look to Him and know Him, you will discover life-changing truth.
