The Power of Godly Vision

Ministry requires commitment; there are times when action is required. But what drives these actions? Many times, these actions are a response to vision; vision gives life to ministry.

The Apostle Paul, had a vision that drove him and those around him to action. Paul was busy preaching the gospel. He made attempts to go into areas where he thought he should preach the word, but was prevented by the Holy Spirit. That night Paul had a vision in which he saw a Macedonian standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!” (Acts 16:9 NLT). The vision provided direction for their next step.

“As soon as Paul had this vision, we got ready to leave for Macedonia, because we decided that God had called us to preach the Good News to the people there.” This vision gave Paul clarity. He no longer had to wonder where he should go; he knew that he was needed in Macedonia. When there is confusion and uncertainty, God communicated with a vision. Paul’s vision impacted his life and the lives of those around him. You see, authentic vision also impacts the lives of those around you.
