Don’t Wait: Shout Now!

This season, from mid November to the end of the year, is the most wonderful time of the year for some and the most difficult season of the year for orhers. It’s a time when families get together and people travel from near and far to be close. It’s also the time when those who are going through the challenges of life find life challenging.

In these times, people feel isolated and hopeless. Why? Well, some have gone through a season of loss and at this time, the loss feels heavier. They are reminded of years past when they interacted with their family member who is no longer there. But in the midst of feeling hopeless because of loss, Jesus Christ steps in to bring hope.  David said, in Psalms 39:7 AMP “And now, Lord, for what do I expectantly wait? My hope [my confident expectation] is in You.” This was part of his prayer during a difficult period of his life. He recognized that there is only one place he can go for help: his help came from God. (Psalm 121:1)

God is faithful, He remembers us when we are going through. “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (Isaiah 43:2 NLT). His presence makes the difference. David experienced God’s intervention in his life and it drove him to praise God while in his difficulty. Friend, in the song, Never Lost, Cece Winans said, “You don’t have to wait till the battle is over, you can shout now.” God is on you side, shout now. His side is the winning side.

Thought for Today: Friend, there is a shout in your hope.
