Have you ever had an experience where someone needed help, and you had the ability to provide the help they needed but they didn’t believe you could do it? It happens more often than we think. People make judgements based on a variety of ideas and ideologies and many times these ideas have no basis in reality.
Well, how do you think God feels when we have issues and problems and we fail to seek Him? Unlike the people we know, God can provide the help we need but we must go to Him. In other words, we need to seek God with faith. “But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6 AMP). Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.’ We need faith to walk with God and please Him.
As we focus on our tomorrows, we have no idea what they hold, but trust in the One who holds tomorrow in His hand. There are promises for those who seek Him in faith. “Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13). It’s a heart thing! God is looking at our hearts. Why? “The Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise if anyone seeks God.” (Psalm 14:2 NLT). What will God see when He looks at you?
