There are many times in life we face a task that seems impossible. You look at it from every angle and if feels like the movie from the TV show called Mission Impossible. But the funny thing about those impossible missions is that they always accomplished their mission. Is that only possible for television or can we as children of God accomplish things that seem impossible?
Well, let me tell you, I’m one of those people who believe that the impossible is possible. So I am not afraid to engage in a new task. Even when things are not going as planned, I will continue to work at it because God can do it. In Luke 1:37, the angel told Mary that she would conceive a son while still a virgin. Mary was a bit confused so the angel gave her some details of God’s plan and concluded with this statement: “For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37 NKJV.
So is this something just for Mary and her situation? No! God’s ability to do the impossible has not changed. Job 23:13 NLT says, “But once he has made his decision, who can change his mind? Whatever he wants to do, he does.” That is the character of our God; He is immutable; He does not change. So our impossible situations are only impossible in our eyes.
So what is your issue today? Does it seem impossible? Well Numbers 23:19 tells us, “God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” God is able to do the impossible. Don’t be intimated by your impossible situation because, “Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.” James 1:17.In other words, it can be done.
Thought for Today: Friend, nothing is impossible with God.
