Living Successfully

How many times have you decided to do things differently? You examine the issue at hand you acknowledge that change is necessary, and you genuinely want to do what is right. But you run into a problem and very thing you to avoid doing, that is what you did. You wonder why you can’t do what you want to do.

You are not alone; we’ve all had similar experiences. The Apostle Paul says it this way: I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. (Romans 7:21 NASB) The Apostle Paul identified the battle within each one of us: a desire to do what is right before God and the flesh wanting to have its way.

That is not as uncommon as we believe it is. The road to success in this battle lies in our choices. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. (Romans 6:13 NKJV) There must be a desire in our hearts to do what is good.

This is not a project in self-development that we accomplish on our own. This is a spiritual battle; But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. (Romans 7:23 NKJV) But thank God the story does not end there. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good for them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me.(Jeremiah 32:40 NLT) There is hope! God promised to put His desire in our hearts and that is a game changer.

Thought for Today: Friend, we can live right with the help of God.

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
