Wait on the Lord

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

Most people hate to wait. They have difficulty because as a society, we have become conditioned to getting things quickly. The microwave has become a mainstay in most homes. We live in a world, where many things have been changed so that we can get it faster; this even applies to our food. Instant coffee and potatoes and when that takes too long, fast food.

Unfortunately, that has also affected our relationship with God. So many times we want the strength of God but we don’t want to wait on Him. But strength from God comes through waiting on Him. That power comes from spending time in His presence. There are so many areas where we are under attack in our lives; but we can conquer every obstacle with the strength that comes from God.

With God, you can find strength to soar in whatever you undertake. I’m not here to say you will become the CEO of a company. That is not what God is talking about. I know a lady who soars in what she does. What does she do? She cleans her church. So how is that soaring? Well everyone who walks into the sanctuary can that she soars. The sanctuary is evidence of superior work ethic.  Everything is spotless. Her work ethic is hard to miss. So soar where you are and in what you do. It’s not so much what you do but how you do.

Thought for Today: Friend, whatever you do, do your best.

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
