Walk in the Light

If we claim that we share life with him, but keep walking in the realm of darkness, we’re fooling ourselves and not living the truth. 1 John 1:6 TPT

In many walks of life, claim is a very important word. If I have a car and you claim that the car belongs to you, then at some point, we would go to court to decide who has legal right to the property. So proof is needed to make the claim valid. In this verse, John talks about a claim. As people of faith, we make claims. But John was not so concerned about the claim; he was more concerned about the proof. You see, the proof is what makes the claim valid. The world without Christ is a dark place. “But the wicked walk in thick darkness, like those who travel in fog, and yet don’t have a clue why they keep stumbling! ”Proverbs 4:19.

All too often, man would like to feel that they could fix the problems of right living before God on their own. “But they’re walking on a path to nowhere, wandering away into deeper deception.” Proverbs 2:19. When that happens, we are only fooling ourselves because God knows the content of the heart. “But they’re walking on a path to nowhere, wandering away into deeper deception.” Proverbs 2:15. If you claim, to share life with Him; walk as He walked. “Watch where you’re going! Stick to the path of truth, and the road will be safe and smooth before you.” Proverbs 4:26.  Let our claim be proven true; let us walk in the light.

Thought for Today: Live to validate your claim.

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
