Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me. Micah 7:7 NLT
Micah was a prophet in Israel and he was concerned about the nation. He was sad when he looked at what was happening in and around him. The people chose to do that they pleased and sinned against God. God’s stance on wrong doing has not changed. God hates sin. However, God wants to give the disobedient the opportunity to turn away from their sinful ways. Micah, the servant of the Lord, looked at the people and like Nehemiah, he took the time to pray for the people. “The faithful man has perished from the earth, And there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; Every man hunts his brother with a net.” Verse 2.
The condition is grave. When Micah, looked around, there was no one he could trust. “Do not trust in a friend; Do not put your confidence in a companion.” Verse 5. The nation was not a safe place. Even family relationships were in disarray. In the midst of all the chaos, Micah acknowledged that the only place to find help was in God. So he decided that he would look to God and wait for Him. Micah was confident that his God will hear him. The same is true for us. We live in a world that has forgotten who God is. It’s difficult to trust people, even those in your own family. But even in the chaos, like Micah, you can look to the Lord and wait for Him. When you call upon Him He will hear you and answer you; when you can’t trust those around you, you can trust in God.
Thought for Today: If you call, He will hear you.
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
This is the confidence we have in Him. Amen🙏🙏🙏
