The last Monday in May has been set aside to celebrate Memorial Day. This is a day to honor those in the military, who lost their lives in service for this country. We appreciate their sacrifice and we want to remember the families who lost a loved one.
Our celebration of Memorial Day is incomplete if all we do is honor those men and women who lost their lives in service for their country. We must also honor the one who willingly laid down His life so that we can have the strength we need to walk right before God. “For the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all. And this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life for his friends”. John 15:13.
