Faith Brings Change

For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”Mark 5:28  NLT

What do you do when you have a problem and you can’t find a resolution? It’s a difficult place to be. You know that you can’t continue the way you’re going but every time you think you have met someone who can provide you with a solution, it falls through. You have become desperate because you recognize that your days are numbered. Would you try some new experimental medication that promises to do wonders? You are not sure but you know that you must do something.

There was a woman in Mark 5 who had a real problem. She was sick and growing worse. She tried everything she could. But nothing changed. Well that is not quite true! Her bank balance changed. You see, she was so committed to getting the help she needed that she tried every new procedure; but although the procedures were new, the results remained the same; her condition grew worse. Sometimes, you can feel like that woman and the issue she faced. You try anything and everything but nothing works and your circumstances grow worst.

The woman in Mark 5, heard about Jesus. She heard about the difference He made in people’s lives. She heard about the man with the deformed hand; when he left Jesus’ presence, his hand was no longer deformed. What she heard made her realize that this man had the ability to make a positive change in her life. There were so many people around Him that she had to push her way through.  She believed that if she could touch his clothes she would no longer be sick. She made her way into his presence and her life was never the same. Jesus’ presence brings change when you put your faith in him.  If you need change, look no further, Jesus brings change to those, like this woman, who come to Him in faith.
