Tell all the Israelite men and women to ask their Egyptian neighbors for articles of silver and gold.” (Now the Lord had caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the people of Israel. And Moses was considered a very great man in the land of Egypt, respected by Pharaoh’s officials and the Egyptian people alike.) Exodus 11:2-3 NLT
Great things happen to great people. Most people believe that, but sometimes the least likely individual walks in places where the talented and skilled belong. Why do things like that happen in life? Well, God’s favor could be the answer you seek. Someone said, “When God has selected you, it doesn’t matter who else has rejected or neglected you. God’s favor outweighs all opposition. You are a winner.”
Moses was in Egypt and he was the man God chose to lead His people out of Egypt. It was not a job he wanted; in Exodus 4 he gave God so many excused that God became angry. So Moses had to go back to Egypt and do what God said and now he was considered a very great man respected by Pharaoh’s officials and the Egyptian community. Wow! Isn’t God awesome? Look what God did! Here you have a nation held captive and in the midst of all the issues they faced, the people who you think should look down on them and despise them, were looking on them with favor.
So they walked in favor with God and man. As a result, God told them to ask for articles of silver and gold. It was as easy as that! When God favors you, He places people in your path to bless your life. Sometimes it’s with articles of silver and gold; sometimes it’s with an opportunity to benefit your life. You know, God would use your favor to bless someone else. The Egyptian community saw Moses as a very great man so when he told the people to ask for articles of silver and gold, God caused these people to look favorably on the Israelites and willingly gave them their wealth.
So if you find yourself in adversity, don’t despair. God is not limited in what He can do or when He can do it. He can walk into your situation as hopeless as it looks and bring change. They considered Moses a very great man. God will cause even the people whose job it is to defeat you, to look favorably on you and pour a blessing in your life.
Thought for Today: Friend, God blesses His people with favor.
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
Thank you Lord for your favor…even in the midst of life’s challenges 🙏🏽🙏🏽
