He Holds my Hand

We have been blessed to see 2023; 2022 is behind us and we are wondering what this new year has in store for us. There are many voices of doom and gloom coming at us from every direction; there are national and global problems that crave our attention. If that is not enough, we have a weather system that is confused. And I am not complaining; I love these warm January temperatures!

Despite all that is happening in the world, God does not change; He remains the same. He understands the issues we face, and the Apostle Peter tells us, “Casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. 1 Peter 5:7 AMP.

That makes the difference in our lives. But to experience the difference, we must give Him all the anxieties that come into our lives. Sometimes, we reluctantly cast all our cares then we have a change of heart and pick them up again. With all the uncertainties in the world around us, we need to understand that God cares for us and has a plan for our lives. If we want to walk in His best, we need to trust Him.

When I was a child, they used to sing a hymn that said, “Many things about tomorrow I don’t seem to understand. But I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand.” I pray that as we go through 2023, we would not focus on the uncertainties of our tomorrows but keep our eyes on the God who holds our hands.

Thought for Today:  Friend, God is in control of our today and our tomorrow.

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
