Abounding in Hope

When we were children, we asked our parents for things; we were not concerned about their ability to provide the things we needed; we believed that our parents were dependable and would provide what we needed. Looking back, we can see that there were times when they were willing but unable.

When we became adults, we do not need to ask our parents, but as people of faith, we come before God. The Bible is the Wod of God and there are promises in the Word. However, when we reflect on what is happening around us, we wonder how will what we desire from God happen in our lives? Hebrews 10:23 TPT says, “So now wrap your heart tightly around the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises!”

We can hope in God. When the world talks about hope, they are talking about a  feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. But the hope that we have in God goes beyond what we feel. Hope is that part of faith that focuses on the future. It is knowing that what God has promised, He is able to do. Our hope rests in the faithfulness of God. We need to have an abundant supply of hope coupled with faith as we wait patiently, hoping in the Lord. Let us hold fast the hope we affirm because God always keeps His promises.

Thought for Today: Friend,  let us abound in hope.

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
