Medical News Today states that, “People who fear the unknown may experience anxiety and distress, particularly if they lack information or control.” In life at one time or another, we were face to face with that fear. The question is, what do you do when you are anxious because you do not have the information to calm your anxiety?
1 Peter 5:7 AMP says., “casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].” What more do you need in your time of uncertainty? When the cares of this world overwhelm you, you can be certain of God’s concern for you. He knows how burdensome it is for us to carry our load so he says give it to me I will carry it for you.
There is a real enemy who has a real plan to destroy you. Even so, you can stand with the strength of God. Why do you think movies have sound in the background? Movies often use background sounds to evoke fear. So, when you hear the roar of the enemy, it’s only sound effects. Don’t allow the roaring sound to intimidate you. Put your trust in God and stand your ground against him. Keep in mind that you possess victory; his aim is to convince you that God has neglected you and that you have been overcome. Don’t believe the lie! Through Christ, you can be victorious.
Thought for Today: Friend, he roars like a lion, but he is not a lion.
