Action Required!

There are times in life when you feel powerless. The issues you face are overwhelming and you cannot see a way out. You turn in every direction and there is no help in sight. These moments can make you feel forsaken.

In Exodus 14, that was the sentiment of the people; they spent 400 as slaves in Egypt, their escape hit a bump in the road. They were boxed in, and the Egyptian army was hot on their backs. The camp was in turmoil! They already saw their end in their minds eye. Surely, the chariots, horses and the army of Pharaoh had them left, right and center. The people panicked and cried out to Moses and Moses cried out to God. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! Pick up your staff and raise your hand over the sea. Divide the water so the Israelites can walk through the middle of the sea on dry ground. (Exodus 14:15-16 NLT).

I don’t know what they expected, but their deliverance required action. They had to get moving and Moses had to pick up his staff. While God is all powerful, God requires our participation in our deliverance. What is your issue? God is waiting for you to get moving. God gave Moses instructions about moving forward. You need to know what God requires you to do.

Thought for Today: Friend, get ready to move.
