Faith that Brings Down Walls

IThere are some things in life that are a challenge. You examine all your options to determine which course of action will give you the outcome you desire. However, there are times when you cannot identify a scenario that you are willing to undertake.

The children of Israel spent 40 years wandering in the wilderness. “But the Lord said to Joshua, “I have given you Jericho, its king, and all its strong warriors.” (Joshua 6:2 NLT). The battle for a city is often fierce and filled with bloodshed. But the Battle of Jericho would confound the mind of military strategist everywhere. Napoleon Bonaparte, a French statesman and military leader, said that great battles are won with great artillery. God gave them victory in battle without the use of artillery; instead their weapon was faith in God.

It took faith to walk around the city walls day after day quietly; the people of Jericho probably thought they were foolish. Yet the continued day after day. Their faith in God gave them the victory. “It was by faith that the people of Israel marched around Jericho for seven days, and the walls came crashing down.” (Hebrews 11:30). Your secret weapon is your faith in God; put it to good use!

Thought for Today: Friend, use your weapon of faith.
