God, the Source of Hope

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NLT

There are some marvelous things that come to pass in your life when you trust in God. Paul referred to God as the source of hope. This hope talks about confidence in a future event founded on God’s promises. Romans 5:5 says, “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”

Mordecai was a man who trusted God and whose hope was in God. One day, he came into contact with a man called Haman. Haman despised Mordecai and devised an elaborate plan to kill him. Haman even built a gallows to kill Mordecai at his house. But when you hope in God, He doesn’t disappoint. One sleepless night, the king asked for a reading of the chronicles. He discovered that Mordecai had uncovered a plot to assassinate the king but was never acknowledged for his service. God turned the tables. Haman had to honor the same man he wanted to kill. It does not matter what the issue or need in your life; you can confidently put your hope in God because it will not lead to disappointment in your life.

Thought for Today: Hoping in God does not disappoint

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
