Arm Yourself!

Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious. Ephesians 6:13 TPT

Every soldier has battle gear. He or she has both protective and offensive gear. The US army will never send their soldiers into battle with street clothes.  That will be the end of the soldiers and the army. They need gear to provide protection. If an army has the most advanced technology to fight the enemy and the soldiers are not adequately protected, the army will be defeated. The same holds true for people of faith. You cannot go into a spiritual battle without spiritual gear.

Ephesians 6:10-20 gives a detailed account of the armor of God.  Verse 13 says, “For this reason, take up all the armor that God supplies. Then you will be able to take a stand during these evil days.  Once you have overcome all obstacles, you will be able to stand your ground.”  Stand your ground is a legal term that allows you to use deadly force to defend yourself. This army of faith has the only weapons to fight against evil. 2 Corinthians 10:4 says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” In other words, you can’t buy these weapons on Amazon. If you want to live a victorious life; if you want to win the battle; you have to arm yourself before you go out to fight.
