Some find their strength in their weapons and wisdom, but my miracle deliverance can never be won by men. Our boast is in the Lord our God, who makes us strong and gives us victory! Psalms 20:7 TPT
People use things in their everyday life to make comparisons. When David wrote this, he spoke about chariots and horses but we can relate to weapons and the wisdom of men. The self made man trusts in his works and the benefits his works afford him. His identity is wrapped up in what he has. When tragedy strikes, he is unable to cope and may take his life.
But for the child of God, it’s different. Our strength is not in what we have it’s in whose we are. We are children of God. We don’t have to rely on things to fulfill our lives. Job was a wealthy man but Job trusted in God. In one day, he lost everything: his children, his wealth and his staff. The self made man who relies on his own strength would be devastated. But Job’s strength was in his God. When he considered what he lost, he said in Job 1:21, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!” Job agreed with David that strength and victory comes from God.
Thought for Today: Our God makes the difference
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
As you would say the Lord is the game changer in our lives. Oh how we should have the faith of Job. Glory to God

Yes, Job is an example for us to follow. He trusted God in the midst of his difficulties. We need to do the same.
