But Jesus replied, “I have a kind of food you know nothing about.” “Did someone bring him food while we were gone?” the disciples asked each other. Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work. John 4:32-34 NLT
Walking with God is not passive, it’s active. There is always work to do. In this passage, the disciples went to buy food and Jesus remained at the well. They thought that He just sat and waited for them to return. While they were gone, He ministered to a Samaritan woman. She was an outcast in her community so she came to the well at times when others would stay away.
On this day, she met Jesus. She was amazed that He took the time to talk to her. When you live the life of an outcast, you expect to be treated with disrespect. But Jesus took the time to add value to her life. The world is full of broken people just like this woman. As people of faith, it’s our responsibility to reach the hurting and broken with the love of God.
Meeting Jesus changed her life. The same people she avoided, she ran to tell them the good news. As a result, a whole village met Jesus. When, you walk with God, God orders your steps so that, you have the opportunity to make a difference in lives.
Thought for Today: Adding value makes a difference
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
Lord help us to value ourselves. Glory to God

Amen, you may not always see that difference. You may not always even know that you made a difference. But, whether you see it or know it, we are all difference makers.
