There are some things in life that are easy and some things require effort. And there are things that have different outcomes in different arenas. This verse in my life is somewhat like that. It’s a no brainer over here while it’s a challenge over there. So for me, it is something I’m always working on. I cannot speak for anyone else because people are different and so are the issues and challenges they face. So how do you succeed where you have difficulty being successful?
First, you have to admit that the issue is a challenge. Then, you need to remember that the enemy will create events to challenge your application of the word in your life. He knows where to create the stressor to tempt you. If you want to be successful, you have to be honest with yourself and go before God. God knows where you fail and He knows what you need to be successful. But you have a part in the equation. James 4:7 says, “So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” When you acknowledge, who you are and allow God to work in your life, then when the opportunity presents itself in your life, you have the ability to stand. It does not mean that you will not fall along the way but it means that as you continue to allow God to work in you and through you, change will come.
