When all the Amorite kings west of the Jordan and all the Canaanite kings who lived along the Mediterranean coast heard how the Lord had dried up the Jordan River so the people of Israel could cross, they lost heart and were paralyzed with fear because of them. Joshua 5:1 NLT
Here are these same people who spent many years as slaves in Egypt. They were powerless and as a nation they were victimized by the Egyptians. They provide free labor in Egypt. But in the midst of their hardship they cried unto God and He delivered them with a heavy hand. The people of their days knew them as slaves, and most of them thought that was their destiny. One day, God answered their prayer and they were set free. They were know as slaves but their story changed and now they were know by the power of God.
The nations of Joshua’s day wondered what their next step might be. It appeared that they would self destruct while they were facing the Red Sea. The enemy though he finally had them where he wanted and thought he had a victory. But, God showed up! He came into their seemingly hopeless situation and showed Himself strong. Psalm 62:11 says, “God has spoken plainly, and I have heard it many times: Power, O God, belongs to you;” When you face your battles, God can change your story and give you victory.
Thought for Today: When God shows up, everybody knows!
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
Thank God in the midst of our situation we can depend on Him to show up. He may not show up when we want Him to but He is always on time. God is our refuge and strength, our present help in time of trouble.

God doesn’t leave us nor forsake us. When everything is falling down around us and we think that all is lost, that’s when he shows up and takes over. I thank him for his grace and mercy.
