Living By Faith

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV

This is one of those short verses with a powerful message. The believer walks by faith. You don’t need faith to see what is in existence. Gravity does not require faith; if you throw a ball in the air, it will fall down. But when you walk with God, you need faith. Hebrews 11:6 says, “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” Faith is based on knowing God.

There are many characters in the Bible who walked by faith. They looked at their circumstances but chose to believe God instead what they saw with their eyes. Abraham was an old man without children when God told him he would have a son. His wife was an old woman also. Anyone looking on would laugh at Abraham if they knew that he chose to believe that they would have a son. James looking back at Abraham in James 2:23 said, “And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.” When you walk by faith, you too can be called a friend of God.

Thought for Today: Faith give life to what you believe

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
