God’s Wonderful Grace

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Grace! What a powerful word. When we think about grace we usually think about kindness that we don’t deserve. So here Paul states that God’s gives us salvation through grace. This concept is really difficult for man to comprehend or accept. As a society, we are always on alert for scams because anything that sounds too good to be true is usually an event to prey and take advantage of the trusting. God wants what is best for humanity. So even when humanity sinned, God still extended grace so that we can be made right with Him.

Man, on the other hand, likes to take credit for what he did or didn’t do. Romans 5:15 NLT says, “But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.” Salvation is not as a result of what you can do or how much you can contribute; God designed it that way so that none can take credit. Paul says in Romans 11:6, “And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.” God freely gives His grace and forgiveness to all.

Thought for Today: God’s kindness is priceless

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory
