God Helped Him

God helped him against the Philistines, against the Arabians who lived in Gur Baal, and against the Meunites. 2 Chronicles 26:7 NKJV

In life, there are many battles; it does not matter who you are or where you life. In his role as king, Uzziah had many battles. He fought with the Philistine and the Arabians at Gur. The Philistines were engaged in constant battle with Israel. They were a nation of fighters. It was the Philistines who hired Goliath to fight against Israel. When God delivered His people from Egypt, He did not lead them along the main road even though it was the shortest route because it ran through Philistine territory. God did not want them to engage in battle as soon as they left Egypt. So the Philistines are not new enemies. But God did not leave Uzziah on his own, He helped him against the Philistines.

In your life you face many battles and some of them seem like Philistines in your life. What can you do?  Well when Uzziah faced the Philistines in his life, God helped him. David knew the power of help from God. He also faced many battles so he knew what to do. In Psalm 28:7 he said, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; My  heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.” When you face the battles in your life, the Lord is your strength and shield. Let you heart trust in Him.

Thought for Today: God is the source of your help.

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
