God’s Marvelous Blessings

And he built structures on the walls of Jerusalem, designed by experts to protect those who shot arrows and hurled large stones from the towers and the corners of the wall. His fame spread far and wide, for the Lord gave him marvelous help, and he became very powerful. 2 Chronicles 26:15 NLT

Success is defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. Every leader wants to be successful. Their criteria for success will be different because the aim or purpose is different. If you are involved in selling goods, success is linked to the number of items sold because an increase in sales is linked to an increase in profit. But in this instance, the aim is the same; success is linked to increase. In ancient times, the wall was the most important structure in the city. The wall was your source of protection against your enemies. Uzziah was innovative and with his skilled staff, added a new dimension to the wall.

There is a constant that needs to be noted in Uzziah’s life; the Lord helped him. He accomplished great things but he didn’t do it on his own. Deuteronomy 28:1 says, “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world.”  As a result, he became famous. People from distant lands wanted to use his technology to defend their cities. Uzziah became a powerful man; God blessed him greatly.

Thought for Today: God’s blessings give benefits.

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
