So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. Galatians 6:9-10 NLT
Just about everyone enjoys helping people. You go out of your way to help someone in need. I love participating in charitable work. You give without expecting anything in return. You give of your time and your resources without looking for anything. But, when you look into the faces of the people you serve and you see how much they appreciate what you do, then it brings joy into your life. You are reaping unexpected benefits.
Sometimes while you are busy giving and serving, you experience abuse. You can’t understand why this happened. You are hurt because you gave you best. Do you say you are done and walk away or do you continue to serve faithfully? Well, your human side will say forget it and move on. But, as people of faith, the decision is not that simple. God does not require good works for salvation but good works is an outgrowth of salvation.
Matthew 5:16 says, “In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” So when you find yourself discouraged, don’t give up. The Bible didn’t say to do good to those who deserve it but to do good to all people. “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10. When things go wrong and you want to quit, don’t. When the opportunity presents itself; do good. It’s not just what you should do, but what God expects from you.
Thought for Today: Friend, God rewards those who do what is good.
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
This is a good read. I pray that God continue to inspire you to uplift our spirit. Thank you.

Amen, we are often looked upon as weak or suckers when we do good. This message encourages me to good in Christ, so Christ can be Glorified, Hallelujah.
