The God Who Turns Things Around

The Lord is my strong defender; he is the one who has saved me. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will sing about his greatness. Exodus 15:2 GNT

There are many times in life that we are successful because we stayed in the fight. There were so many different endings that were possible but our faith and trust in God, produced success. It didn’t happen because of our brilliance but simply because God is gracious and wonderful.

When the children of Israel crossed the Red Sea, they were victorious. Their victory was not a result of their military might or power but their victory came from God. When they left Egypt they had no idea where they were going. When they found themselves in an impossible situation, they panicked. Sometimes, you got your directions from God and you stepped out but everywhere you turned was chaos. You began to wonder if you understood the directions from God.

Don’t use the presence of chaos to judge God’s presence in your life. When your feet can touch the waters of the Red Sea, and there are mountains on your left and right; then you turn around and see Pharaoh’s army is at your back; there is no situation more chaotic. But! But is a game changer! God came in and changed the outcome. You see, it appeared that they were about to die at the hands of the Egyptian army. Instead the Egyptian army perished when God opened the waters of the Red Sea. They had a double victory. When God opens a door for you, your enemies can’t use that door to harm you.

Thought for Today: Friend, God turns people and things around

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory
