Walk in God’s Blessings

If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom. Deuteronomy 28:13 NLT

So many times in life, there are activities and benefits.  In other words, when one event generates another event. To drive legally, and individual must first possess a driver’s license. The license gives you the opportunity to purchase a car: no license, no car. Now there are some blessings in the word of God that come with a requirement, the same way that a license is needed to purchase a car.  You must meet the requirement in order to walk in the blessing.

There is a promise in the verse above. The blessing is that you would be a leader and not a follower. Now if God simply gave you that blessing without a requirement then the blessing would be of little value. But God wants you to experience that blessing; you have to decide how much you want that blessing in your life. If you want to enjoy the benefits of driving a vehicle, you must learn the rules of the road. Why? Driving has its own language and you must be able understand the communication from the other drivers on the road.

God has His requirements; first you have to listen to the commands and secondly, you have to obey.  Verse 14 says, “You must not turn away from any of the commands I am giving you today, nor follow after other gods and worship them.” God’s blessings come with a requirement. Do you want God to make you the head? Then walk in obedience to His word. Psalm  75:7 says, “It is God alone who judges; he decides who will rise and who will fall.”  Walk in such a way that God will promote you.

Thought for Today: Friend, God blesses those who listen and obey.

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
