He’s our Ever Present God!

What do you do when things are not going the way you planned? Well, we all have days like those. We have days when we are joyfull and life couldn’t be better; everything is going our way. Then there are days when life is difficult. But do you change what you do when the circumstances of life change?

When we look at David’s life, he experienced almost every kind of trouble you can imagine. As a young man, his family didn’t see any value in him. Eventually, God used David to give Israel the victory over the Philistines, and life was good. King Saul recruited David for the army. Now David had name recognition, and the ladies began singing about him. Saul was angry and tried to kill David.

David went from the commander of the army to a fugitive running for his life. But he never gave up communicating with his God. When he faced his Ziklag Experience and the men wanted to kill him, David encouraged himself in the Lord. When he was king and confronted the problems of leadership, David talked to God. In Psalms 46:1 NKJV, David said, “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.” David knew that in any season, God was with him. God does not change, He is also very present in our times of trouble.

Thought for Today: Friend, don’t despair, God is with you.
